01The Blueprint of Perfect Health

Order, Balance, Harmony, Flow

Painting by Bob Schrei

SourcePoint Therapy is founded on the intention to connect to the information of the Blueprint and to allow that information to work in the human body to bring greater Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow. All the practices are simply ways to do this.

When we connect to the Blueprint of health for human being, we shift the context of our work (on ourselves, or for another) from illness to health. The Blueprint becomes the context. Your context becomes Order, Balance, Harmony, and Flow, health, rather than ill-health. If you are a practitioner, as soon as your clients walk into the room, they are walking into a field of health.

The intention of the SourcePoint practitioner is entirely focused on health.

Often when discussing this, people ask for a definition of health. For the purposes of practicing SourcePoint, essentially, health is health. It isn’t necessary to analyze. The word itself carries the vibration of health. Don’t be distracted by debating the point, just focus on HEALTH. Assume the Blueprint knows what health is!

The context shifts as soon as the practitioner holds the Diamond Points, as soon as the blockage is addressed; all this shifts the context.

When there is this focus on health, people leave your environment with a lot of new information about health, in the body, the mind, and the spirit.

For most people their belief systems are their context, and their belief systems arise from their experience. Part of what you are working with in shifting context is to help a person (or yourself) to begin to believe in the possibility of health. If a person has a chronic illness, negative belief systems can develop about the possibility of getting well. It is harder for healing to happen in that context.

“Context” is an actual energetic structure, created by the thought-forms that populate the energy field, including the body. Belief systems are actual energetic structures. It isn’t necessary to see them, but understand that the energy and information of a belief system can work for years, for lifetimes, after a trauma, to overwhelm the healthy energetic structure. In SourcePoint we work with energetic structures that arise from the Blueprint of health.

From the SourcePoint perspective it isn’t necessary to identify the belief systems that are affecting a person. Very often they are unconscious. This is what is very confusing for people when they want to do affirmations for healing. The conscious mind is saying the affirmation and the unconscious is actively holding on to the unconscious belief system.

SourcePoint Therapy provides a way to address these belief systems without having to uncover them all and examine them in detail. You don’t have to argue with yourself, you don’t have to find affirmations to antidote old belief systems. Connecting to the Blueprint, grounding in the information of the Blueprint, allows the Blueprint to shift the context to health rather than ill-health.

Shifts in context require patience and effort. They don’t just happen overnight. Intentions are powerful, but to actually shift your own context, let alone help to shift someone else’s, takes that patience and effort.

Practitioners’ belief systems also start to change as they see the result of focusing on health, connecting to the Blueprint. This shift in the practitioner facilitates the work. If you truly believe with all your heart that the person who walks into the room has the potential for health inherent in them and that there is a way of awakening that potential for health, then that is going to make a difference in your interaction with the person, in the way that the client feels, and eventually in their physical progress.

Remember, it is actually the Blueprint that is shifting the context, but your activity as a practitioner in connecting with the Blueprint, connecting the client, believing in that full potential for health, all this is something you can do, for the benefit of yourself and others.

The Starfish Are Dying and No One Knows Why

By | Published:

iemanja122

Yemanja is the Goddess of the Ocean in the traditions of Africa, Brazil and many other places. Yesterday, February 2nd, she was celebrated as she is every year in Salvador, Brazil, where she also goes by the name Janaina. Thousands of people gather to make offerings to her on this day.

Yesterday I read this news in the headlines: The Starfish are Dying and No One Knows Why.

Traditionally, Janaina is crowned with a starfish and often wears a blue cloak covered with golden starfish.

All up and down the west coast, off California, large numbers of starfish are dissolving, literally turning to goo, according to reports. Scientists are mystified. They theorize a bacterial infection. There is flurry of activity and concern as they try to discover the cause.

The starfish is the special love of Janaina, her messenger. If we have ears to hear or eyes to see, what does this dying tell us?

The resonance of these two events disturbs me deeply, because there is a third event that occurred simultaneously. Recently I was given a glimpse of a world of the future. No time frame, no prediction. A glimpse that is so sadly easy to believe, given the drought in California, the cold of our winters and the heat of our summers already, the ongoing pollution of our waters and air.

The earth was brown. The rivers were brown, the oceans were brown, the forests were dead. Our beloved earth, as we usually see it imaged from space, is still a vibrant green and blue and white. In the view I saw, it was dark brown, and rust, and black. Even the clouds surrounding it were brown. I wept.

Then the next day I read of the starfish dying.

I take the dying of the starfish as a message from Yemanja/Janaina. Another wake-up call among so many we are consistently ignoring.

Many years ago, in 1988 to be exact, the Awareness said the only, yes, the only, thing that we need to be concerned about in relation to the future existence of life on earth was climate change, then called global warming, and that this climate change was related to our human activities, in essence, to our human greed and ignorance and aggression.

So, we know this. Not everyone, but undoubtedly everyone reading this. I don’t know what to do, and I don’t have a lot of suggestions to make. We know such a deep sea change has to happen. And I don’t think it is any accident we have that phrase “sea change.” We need a tidal wave of change, and that change has to be in human consciousness.

In SourcePoint, we talk about far vision: The need to hold in our hearts, minds and spirit the vision of a world transformed, a world of co-operation, communication and sharing rather than a world fueled by aggression, domination, control and greed. Human lives lived in alignment with and awareness of the fundamental Order, Balance, Harmony, Flow.

This morning I am finding it especially challenging to hold that vision.

I realize as I write that I was given in that image of the brown, discolored earth a direct and simple way to work with my fears, grief, anger, helplessness, and with the need to hold a far vision. I can just keep seeing that one future possibility, that brown earth among the stars, and see it transforming back into that image I have loved from the moment I first saw it, that lovely sphere with its oceans and forests and clouds.

I can see again that brown earth turning to green and blue and white, vibrant and alive, over and over and over. I can breath life into that image. We all can. We all need to. No matter what the outcome.

SourcePoint also provides one way among many for us to remember the sacredness of nature. As I become more aware of the underlying exquisite, breathtaking, seemingly impossible order and precision of nature, I understand deeply the meaning of the word sacred. I hold my breath in wonder and awe. I return to the faith that this cosmic order is stronger and deeper and wider than our human ignorance.

And I honor Yemanja, the spirit of the waters, the goddess of the ocean. The day before all this happened a friend sent me an article by David Spangler, a spiritual teacher who was originally known for his work at Findhorne. He wrote of the water spirits, and how one morning recently he had received a message from a water spirit in a glass of water. The communication from the water spirit was simple. “When you use water, please send loving, healing and uplifting energy (Light) to the kingdom of the water spirits for many of our kind are suffering and under siege from the continuing and increasing pollution by humanity. We need your support and blessing from which we can draw strength.”

I received this almost exact message from the water spirits many years ago. It was a time when I was praying for rain, which living in New Mexico under increasing conditions of drought, I used to do regularly. Not any more. The water spirits told me: We are exhausted. We are doing everything we can but we are exhausted. We have always helped you but now we need your help. I was told that to acknowledge them, to honor them, to sing to them, to meditate with them, to offer them my recognition and love, all these nourished and sustained them and gave them strength. I was told that for us human beings to keep praying, asking over and over for what they are not able to give, exhausts them further. Ever since, I try to make this a daily practice, to offer them strength and ask how I can help.

I think the starfish are giving us a simple message: we need to pay immediate, deep, attention to the waters of life and spirit, and these two are inextricably intertwined.

In SourcePoint , we don’t work directly with the spirits of nature. We work with the realm of the Blueprint, of that cosmic order from which spirits and life and the material world arise. But as we connect with that realm on a regular basis, that information of the Blueprint awakens our knowing, our memory, of the presence of Spirit and spirits. Nature is light, nature is order, nature is spirit and energy. Nature is beauty. Nature is life. We are all of that, spirit, energy, light, order, and beauty.

So this morning I am writing this to heal, for the moment, the deep despair that I felt when I saw so vividly those dead forests, the brown oceans, the disappearance of the color and the light and beauty that is given us as a precious gift and which we have so abused. I am writing to remember that far vision, to return to it, to hold it in my heart, always. I am writing to honor the presence of sprit and light in our world.

For human beings to recognize the sacredness of this world, deeply, would save it. May we all who know this, remember this, every day. May we all find our ways to work directly with the trees, the plants, and the waters of this earth.

Reflections from Awareness: Peace on Earth

By | Published:

myPicBlackboard Sketch by Bob Schrei

Excerpt from an Awareness Session* with Bob and Donna, New Years Day, 2014

For the new year, let us speak about peace.

Peace is not the absence of conflict. Peace is found in the response to conflict. In the material world, conflict arises. It is in the nature of the material world that there will be tension between oppposites. There will be differing perspectives and points of view.

Peace means being able to harmonize, to adjust one’s frequency to the frequency of another, so that rather than two discordant notes, there is a harmony.

Peace involves self-sacrifice. Peace requires the sacrifice of aggression, domination and control, anger and greed and ignorance: the sacrifice of those forces within one to the greater good, the greater harmony, to the force of love and awareness.

Peace is the ultimate nature of Oneness. Meditation, prayer, and contemplation bring the experience of the universal peace, the underlying order, the essential harmony. People know that peace exists and desire to bring it to their lives in the world.

However, in a world of duality peace is not something that is going to just happen. Peace on earth or in one’s heart demands concentrated effort, an awareness of the greater good, an understanding of the interconnectedness of everything and the willingness to give up one’s own personal perspective when necessary to the greater good.

May there be peace on earth and in your heart.

May all beings be happy, peaceful and free of suffering.

*Awareness sessions are channeled readings that provided much of the original information of the SourcePoint principles and practices. Occasionally I will be sharing direct transcripts of Awareness sessions on this blog. In an Awareness Session I am in touch with and speaking for a greater Awareness, a consciousness not separate from my own, but able to see more deeply, clearly and without judgment or opinion, than I am able to in my ordinary consciousness. The field that is accessed is the field from which SourcePoint arose. Before every session I ask to be a clear channel for the light, energy and information that brings positive transformation. Every session has always begun and finished with the simple prayer: May All Beings Be Happy, Peaceful and Free of Suffering. INTUIÇÃO

Translated by Marilu Reis

As pessoas desejam seguir o coração.

Que coração é este exatamente?

Eu quero seguir o grande coração

na raiz, o núcleo, o centro,

que pulsa no corpo e nas estrelas,

dia e noite,

inundação e tempestade e quietude,

semente e flor,

Muitas vezes, as pessoas consideram a SourcePoint “contra-intuitiva”.

Focus on the Blueprint: A Reminder

By | Published:

SourcePoint Day 3Blackboard sketch by Bob Schrei

This month’s post is contributed by Bob Schrei, and is an important reminder where our focus lies in the practice of SourcePoint Therapy®. It is specifically intended for practitioners who have been trained in our workshops.

In the three basic modules of SourcePoint Therapy® the emphasis is on placing your focus on bringing the information of the Blueprint to the blockage rather than on the systems of the body. The reason for this is that practitioners can be too involved in the systems of the body to be able to practice SourcePoint effectively. They are constantly being drawn into the story that is unfolding in the soma rather than keeping their focus on the information of the Blueprint. They are being drawn into the details of various parts and systems of the body, including the energetic, rather than keeping their focus on the health of the system.

Remember that SourcePoint can be practiced effectively by people who do not have extensive training in manual therapies, and in fact, it is often easier for them precisely because they do not have the background of continually tracking what is happening in the system, either at the structural/functional level, cranial/sacral level, fluid level, nervous system level, meridian and chakra levels or any other system of the body.

Many practitioners rely on getting information from the body to guide them in their work. In SourcePoint that is not the focus. Of course you keep track of what is happening and check in with clients as to how they are feeling and experiencing the work. But it is the information of the Blueprint that guides our work, and we are simply bringing the information of the Blueprint to the body. That information, the full potential that we have as human beings for health at every level of our being, is the focus of our attention.

In SourcePoint we speak of the the therapeutic relationship as a triad rather than a dyad. The information, light, and energy of the Blueprint is the third partner in that triad.

Our work as a practioner is to stay connected to that field of information and to keep the client connected to that information. Once rapport is established between you and your client at the beginning of the session, the focus is taken off of the inter-personal relationship and the focus is on connecting the client to their own resources and potential and staying in that field ourselves. We are not “channeling” the information, energy, or light of the Blueprint through our own bodies and fields, but creating the context for that interface to take place.

When I become aware of my attention being drawn into the phenomena of the body, I step back for a moment, connect with my breath, and re-focus my awareness to the information of the Blueprint through the eight-pointed star as a placeholder for the information of the Blueprint, or any of the other methods that we learn in SourcePoint to connect to that field of information.

For those of you who do have extensive backgrounds in a variety of therapeutic modalities it eventually becomes possible to be aware of both your connection to the Blueprint and what is occurring in the soma. But with experience you are able to be aware without letting your fascination be what leads you or forms your practice. The only strategy from a SourcePoint perspective is : How can I more effectively bring the information of the Blueprint to the body?

Meaning, Purpose, and SourcePoint

By | Published:

star field

Imagine the universe in this way: everywhere you look you see an intricate web of meaning and purpose, a grid of light, energy, and information that nourishes you and sustains you, that breathes as you breathe, lives as you live. As above, so below. You too are an intricate web of meaning and purpose, a grid of light, energy and information, connected to that greater network, breathing as it breathes, living as it lives.

It’s not actually hard to imagine this, because it is how things are. There was a period in my life when I was receiving guidance from a Native American teacher to learn more about energy and how it worked. During that time, every time I saw a raven fly through the bright blue New Mexico sky, I knew, knew, in my whole soul, spirit, body-being, that I was intimately connected to all that is, and that everything had ultimate meaning and purpose. Ravens are said to be the messengers of spirit, and I was generously being given a powerful spiritual message.

People today spend a lot of time trying to determine their purpose in life. It’s one of the main subjects of the Awareness sessions I do with people. SourcePoint can help with this. In SourcePoint we connect with the Blueprint of health for the human being, the specific energy field that gives rise to, nourishes and sustains the human body. This Blueprint contains the information for the highest potential of the human being. As we come into alignment with the Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow of the Blueprint, we access this information. We begin to act in greater harmony with our highest potential. The deep intention of our spirit can flow more readily in our lives.

The key here is not to worry so much about what we are supposed to be doing, but to focus on our connection to our highest potential, to that greater web of meaning and purpose that we are a part of. That connection, just as it helps our physical health, helps our spiritual health, and helps us to know who we are, why we are here, and what our path in this world is.

When we use SourcePoint Therapy to support our physical health, we don’t neglect other modalities that work directly at the physical level to sustain that health, such as medical treatment, nutrition, herbs, and so on. In the same way, while SourcePoint Therapy can help us come into a greater realization and manifestation of our highest potential, we don’t neglect to work with intention, goal, aspiration and exploration of our own unique talents and gifts. We just do this in the context of being connected to the information of our highest potential.

One useful practice is to examine your “organizing principles.” What themes or concerns do you organize your life around? Past trauma, specific relationships, anxiety about the future? General principles of love, service, growth and so on? Specific goals or aspirations? This exploration can be very helpful in getting you in touch with what you really feel your purpose in life is, and whether your current central organizing principles are in alignment with it. This exploration works together with the Blueprint to reorganize the energy field in a meaningful and purposeful way.

Another way to phrase this question is: What is your North Star?

A tree doesn’t think about its purpose in life. Its entire being is devoted to being a tree. It is its purpose. The purpose of being you — is to be you. The connection to the Blueprint helps you be you, to realize your potential.

Many practitioners have now told us that their clients report a “sense of hope” after receiving SourcePoint Therapy. This hope is a sign of connection to that information of the Blueprint, of their highest potential. It’s the ground for physical healing, and for another step forward on the spiritual journey.

The Blueprint as a Living Being

By | Published:

SourcePoint Day 3Blackboard Drawing by Bob Schrei, Module 3, July 16, 2012

We are in the midst of a Module Three right now, exploring the principle of the Blueprint, working with deepening our relationship to the Blueprint for the benefit of our own health and that of others.

The foundation of SourcePoint, its core, its central organizing principle, is the Blueprint. The essential premise of SourcePoint Therapy is that there is a body of information, inherent in the universal energy field, which consists of the information of health for the human being. We can connect to that Blueprint information for the benefit of our own health and that of others. When we strengthen our connection to the Blueprint, we access the energy and information of Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow from which life arises and which sustains and maintains life.

As practitioners deepen their understanding of the Blueprint and how to strengthen that connection, here’s what happens. They realize they have a relationship with that Blueprint. The term “blueprint” can sound very abstract, distant, theoretical, conceptual. In fact, the Blueprint is a tangible energetic reality. It exists in what we can call a dimension of subtle energetic form, an intermediary state between form and pure spirit-energy-consciousness. It is a reality as much as you or I. It has qualities. It’s sentient, aware, intentional, and focused. It has qualities. It loves.

The inherent intention of the Blueprint, its sole purpose in existing, is to provide the matrix that gives rise to life, to nourish life and sustain life. To me, this sounds like love! The Blueprint is always there, always supporting us, always caring for us, to put it in our ordinary human language.

People often ask, then, is the Blueprint for human health a fixed, eternal reality, or does it evolve as human beings evolve? I think Bob’s answer for that is precise and to the point. It is fixed, just as the North Star is fixed. In the Northern Hemisphere, you can use the North Star to navigate by. People have been doing that since time immemorial. It’s considered a fixed point, a reference point. And yet the position of the North Star does change, a little bit, every 10,000 years or so. So the Blueprint changes over long, long time. But, it’s reliable and consistent. By our usual human standards, it’s fixed.

So, we can orient ourselves to and with the Blueprint, returning over and over again to the awareness of Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow. The sense of the Blueprint becomes a reference point, a central organizing principle for all your energy work, no matter how many different modalities you may practice. It’s dependable, it responds. Integrate the Diamond Points into your practice, and see the results. Things happen. That’s how we begin to trust the reality of it.

Like any relationship, relationship with the Blueprint requires careful cultivation, attention, a certain degree of trust and willingness to open to a reality greater than your own ordinary mind; it requires letting go of judgment. We want to get to know people better because in some way we’re attracted to them. People come to SourcePoint trainings because they’re attracted by the Blueprint. It asks you to give it a chance, to see what can happen.

The breath provides a wonderful, simple way to access the Blueprint. It reflects all the qualities we have just been reflecting on. The breath nourishes, sustains, and supports you every second of every day of your life. It brings Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow to your whole system. Taking a few moments during your day to tune into your breath, experience its natural rhythm and repeat the words Order, Balance, Harmony, Flow, instantly brings connection to the Blueprint. Your breath is the Blueprint at work. And with every inhalation, you experience the vibrancy, the potency, the life of that Blueprint.

Scanning

By | Published:

In SourcePoint Therapy® we work with a scan of the body to locate blockages that are impeding the free flow of information from the energetic Blueprint of health. Recently a question arose, along these lines: “When I use the scan with clients, why am I consistently finding a blockage in the same location on the body in many different clients?”

Here is Bob’s response to that question:

I would like to share a little history here. Some of you may remember that I say in class that I simply made a choice at some point to scan everyone that came into my practice for two years before I felt comfortable and accurate with what I was perceiving. So remember, you are learning a skill that takes time, just like learning to play the piano or a new language takes time. There is the “10,000 hypothesis” which says it simply takes 10,000 hours of practice to learn anything well, be it running, tennis, an instrument or a language. Your particular chosen discipline–be it Rolfing, Acupuncture, or SourcePoint– is no different. Time and dedication and discipline are necessary. The great jazz pianist Keith Jarrett still practices every day, basic simple scales and basic structured practice. Personally I have been engaged in some form of dowsing, which the scans are, for 40 years. I feel that it has taken at least 30 of those years to get to a place where I feel that I am relatively accurate 85% of the time.

One of the things that I observed in my early years, in myself and in others, was that one’s current interests definitely influence the results. When I was interested in chakras, I found all causative factors at that level; when I was interested in homeopathy I found that that was usually the most appropriate treatment, etc. etc. etc. So it is important that you take the time to clear yourself of all preconceived notions.

Sit quietly for a couple of minutes with your client before doing anything. Develop a way that you can check with your own self whether or not you are clear enough to scan accurately; you will get an inner sense of what that feels like. Withdraw projections, and have a very clear and accurate inquiry in mind. In SourcePoint we are asking one question: Where is the primary blockage that is inhibiting the flow of information from the Blueprint?

It might help to remember that we are relating to the body as an energetic structure, a body of light, and secondarily we are holding the intention of bringing a greater level of order into the body. We are not thinking about organs, nerves, tissues, meridians, chakras, or systems of the body. I rarely find the primary blockage in an organ. But it does happen, very rarely, and similarly for the cranium.

If you notice that you are having repetitive results in your scanning there is a pretty good chance that there is something in the way you are wording the question that is not clear or that there are things in your own being that are influencing the results. When I say in class that I have noticed that a lot of blockages and entry points seem to be in the extremities, I do not mean that I see that in client after client on a repetitive basis. I mean that looking back over a dozen years of working this way, that there is a high proportion of scans that have exhibited this, not that client after clients had the same scan results. I have also said in class that I felt that it took me 25 years of exposure to cranial work before I was able to do a good cranial session. It just takes time and practice for a lot of these skills. If you are attempting to learn many skills at once, the need for time and practice levels increases.

In the end, if you are interested in energy work, it is a process of constantly working on and looking at yourself. The great osteopath, A.T Still, said that the human being is triune: Spirit, Body, and Mind. We need to be paying attention to all of these levels in ourselves as well as our clients. It is an exciting path and we are simply learning from each of our clients. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to be taught in this way.

One final thought is just to remember that from the SourcePoint perspective we are not trying to clear blockages. We are simply bringing the information of the Blueprint to the blockage, just as we bring two hands together to pray and give thanks for our blessings. They are many.

Note: The video above also makes reference to scanning for the entry point. In this post we are referring specifically to the scan for the primary blockage.
