Her Loom of Light

Her Loom of Light that Becomes the Body by Bob Schrei

Her Loom of Light that Becomes the Body

Born from light

into light

You return again to know yourself as light.

You are born from a precise order

a delicate balance

an eternal harmony

from the flow of the river

the cresting of the tide.

Born from the Mother of Mothers

the matrix

that nourishes and sustains.

You

are the exquisite expression of

Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow.

The perfection of all creation is yours.

You are woven into the shimmering fabric

of the starry night

the green of earth, blue of water

gold of sun, silver of moon.

A weaving of light and dark

skin and bone, heart and soul

an infinite vibration

a mandala of one arm span.

Light is the loom, love is the thread.

You are woven with love

a care and attention beyond imagining

from Her loom of light

that becomes

the body.

Do you know what that body is?

Look in the mirror of yourself.

The love you long for

the truth you seek —

You will find it in the whisper of your breath

the rhythm of your heart

the flow of your blood

the dance of your cells.

See your self as the pure and intricate reflection

of the cosmic Order

and love that self

with all your heart.

In this moment

just as you are

whole and complete

lacking nothing.

Getting Out of the Way & The Golden Triangle

By | Published:

As an energy work practitioner one of the most important skills to learn is that of getting out of the way. Getting out of the way means you don’t impose your own views or ideas. Rather, you respond to the unique being of each individual client.

People have their own modalities; often they have spent years acquiring and refining their skills, and this is good. The problem comes when people become attached to their information, their perspective, and end up seeing everything through that lens. Working from a SourcePoint perspective involves, in any situation, bringing to bear all the training and information one has, and then be willing to let go and be guided by the blueprint.

Here is a simple exercise that can help you get out of the way when working with a client. Imagine a light in the heart chakra of the client, and in your own heart chakra. Each of those lights is connected to a third light above you by a golden line. So the ray of golden light goes from your heart to the light above, and from the client to the light above, forming a triangle. This is an energetic pattern that symbolizes the connection of the client to that greater light, energy and healing information. It reminds you that your connection to the client is heart-based, but it is not your personal energy that is going to the client. You are connecting through the blueprint. You meet your client through that greater field of light, energy and healing information.

There are a number of specific ways of getting out of the way we’ll be covering.

The Crescent Moon and the Mother

The Crescent Moon is a wonderful and simple meditative practice that radiates support and grounds the energy of an individual in the earth plane.

The Crescent Moon may be helpful as an energetic support for an expectant mother as it brings a strong connection to the archetype or blueprint of the Mother. The Great Mother in many traditions is often shown with the crescent moon under her feet, or on her head. The waxing crescent moon is considered the symbol of the transition from Maiden to Mother. The crescent moon strengthens and supports the power of the Mother, in the universal sense and in the individual. When it is held beneath the feet, it represents the connection of heaven and earth, the bringing together the dimensions of subtle form where we find the blueprint, and the material dimension.

An expectant mother may find this a pleasant and nourishing meditation. Just lie or sit quietly and be aware of the rhythm of your breath. Cup your hands gently around your womb, in the pelvic area. This in essence forms the configuration of the crescent moon. Feel your hands on your womb, cradling the baby within you, nurturing yourself, and know that as you hold yourself and the child this way, you are connecting with the nourishing light, energy and information of the crescent moon, the archetype (blueprint, mandala) of the Mother. You are one with the Great Mother, that power of the feminine that gives birth to and nurtures life.

Light and Dark

SourcePoint is about balance, order, harmony and flow, the simple underlying principles and energies that give rise to life, and sustain, nourish and support it.

Energy workers often call on “the light” in their work. It’s a powerful energy and we access the energy of light in SourcePoint work. What about the transformative energy of the dark? I used to wonder what would happen if I sat down with a client at the beginning of an Awareness session (the channeled readings I used to do), and instead of saying “ The room is filled with the clear light of Awareness” I said instead “The room is filled with the transformative dark of Awareness.” Sometimes I did say it. Not everyone is ready to be surrounded by the dark!

Personally, I’ve had experiences with some kinds of energy work, or with some spiritual teachers, where I have felt like I received an overdose of light, where the reaction of my body-mind was so intense, with every old, deep, hidden pattern hauled up and exploded into awareness. My instinct was to crawl into bed, lower the shades, close my eyes, and wrap myself in the dark, imagining a cloak of the deep dark indigo New Mexico sky draped around me, to feel the coolness of twilight descend over me, to call on the dark of the Source beyond words to soothe and heal and absorb all that was coming up.

I think the most positive energies for transformation are a perfect balance of light and dark. Using concentrated light at times is like doing surgery; you can feel it cutting away old patterns and obstructions and blockages. The dark is a soothing, embracing, all-absorbing energy, much more diffuse. It’s very protective. It calms and balances after an intense experience of light.

As with so much else, in SourcePoint you don’t have to think about all this too much (unless you want to, of course). The points do their work. The connection to Source through the Source Point connects with that radiant dark of Source energy, beyond all words and forms and concepts, beyond even the concept of light and dark. The pure energy of source filters through what we can call the light of the blueprint, that illuminating energy that carries the information necessary for life to arise, to support life, the information of those ordering principles.

As I write about SourcePoint Therapy I realize again how much this form of energy work relies on art, metaphor, image and poetic language to express truths that can’t be quantified or described satisfactorily in ordinary terms. Light and dark, balance, flow, sun and moon, rhythm, season, sound, silence, stillness, motion. All these energies are with us, speaking through the points as we seek to reconnect to that fundamental health that is our birthright.
