Guardians of the Body 2020

By | Published:

Today’s meditation invokes the guardian energies of the body for our health and wellbeing.

Many years ago I was told by one of my teachers, who spoke from many years of experience in working with energy, that the most effective psychic protection was simply… altruism. Yes. As simple as that.

As those of you who have done Awareness sessions know, every one begins and ends with the phrase “May all beings be happy, peaceful and free of suffering.” Every meditation in SourcePoint workshops ends with that phrase, which is an ancient prayer in both Hindu and Buddhist traditions, and some version of that spirit pervades many other traditions. In our workshops, we dedicate our practice of SourcePoint together for the benefit of all beings.

When we maintain that attitude in our work, there is psychic protection. There is a strong energetic container. I have experienced that in countless ways for 50 years now. So keep that attitude in your mind and heart. You may have different words that you use, but you know what I mean.

When this current situation with the virus began to arise, the Awareness told me to fill myself with that prayer every day, in every moment of my day that I could possibly bring it forth in my mind and heart – reading the news, talking to people, going for my walk, falling asleep. It’s good right now to have that practice. I feel filled by it. Even when I’m not consciously thinking it, I can feel its presence. And when we are filled with altruistic intention, there’s less room for other energies.

That said, today’s meditation has a different focus. It invites you to focus on and explore this concept of guardian energies. What does that phrase meant to you? The immune system? The other intricate protective processes and systems inherent in the body? Guardian angels? Light? Awareness? The Blueprint of Health? Once again, breathe, listen, imagine… and focus. Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow 2020

By | Published:

Dear Friends,

This evening we are beginning our immersion in Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow, the Blueprint of Health for the human being, for the benefit of all beings, each one of us, to maintain a focus on health. If you are just joining, please see my introduction in the previous post from today. We will be continuing for the next ten or so days with a new meditation every other day. An image of our beautiful earth will accompany every post in this meditation sequence.

Tomorrow is the spring equinox. It’s the earliest spring equinox in 124 years. As I go for a walk earlier, under a grey-clouded sky, with the air full of the promise of coming rain, I smile at the thought of the earliest spring in so long. Earth and air and fire and water are always giving us messages of renewal and regeneration, even in the midst of crisis. I had previously this morning wept over the news, as I do frequently. As many of you have heard, I believe deeply in the profound healing power of tears. They are important. In times of crisis we feel many things, fear, hope, anger, serenity, acceptance, denial, resistance, clarity, confusion, love, and the joy of life and the beauty of the world more precious than ever, and grief. Bottling up the “negative” of those emotions isn’t being positive. Finding ways to express them and transform them and channel them positively is what we need to do. These times call for a healthy flow of emotion. After tears I always arise with an illumined view of the world and all it brings, a tenderness, and an overflowing desire to help. However I can. I usually want, naturally, to meditate.

Today and tomorrow we’re going to focus in our meditation on the Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow that is our true nature, the Source of life. Those four words describe a state of health necessary for life to arise and sustain itself. The natural world, our entire universe, with its galaxies and stars and infinite space, our bodies with their intricate systems and structures and processes, all arise from a fundamental state of Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow. We can access those energies within us.

The meditation for today is from Chapter One and is called simply “Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow.” What we call the Blueprint of health for the human being is this information of Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow present in the universal energy field – the concentrated, specific energy/information field that contains the information of our highest potential, of health.

What a good time now, with humanity experiencing its interconnectedness, how we are all one, how our individual health depends on the health of the collective, and vice versa… what an important time to focus on our collective inherent health. We don’t deny the reality of the situation. We understand the need to isolate ourselves for the sake of each other. We wash our hands. We take care of ourselves, for the sake of everyone in our immediate and more expanded network. And in the midst of all that we take time now, today, to focus 100% on our health. To feel the vibrancy of that health within us. To fill ourselves with our breath, and relax deeply into the exhalation of that breath.

Some of you may know this meditation intimately already. Some may be meeting it for the first time. All you have to do is listen, and breathe. Two fundamentally essential aspects of being human. You can access today’s meditation here. You will find the Chapter One Meditation at the top of the page. You can listen to it directly here on the blog. You don’t need to go to Soundcloud. If you know anyone who might find it helpful, please feel free to share.

Comments or questions are welcome through the contact page. May we all support each other.

Meditations for Today’s World 2020

Dear Friends, in these times, SourcePoint Therapy has much to offer. Remember, as some of you have heard in workshops, every time one single person connects with the Blueprint of Health for the human being, with that fundamental Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow of the universal life force energy, that information enters into the web of life and interbeing on this planet. So many people have commented on how this virus is bringing a greater awareness of how we are all interrelated. As Chief Seattle said, what we do to the web we do to ourselves. And what I always say, that means, what we do to ourselves, we do to the web. Take time to connect with the information of Health and it will support you and in supporting you it supports others. The information of Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow is sorely needed to support everything that is being done at the physical, medical, scientific level right now.

Simple SourcePoint practices can bring this connection and nourish, support and strengthen each of us right now: Meditation with the Diamond Points, the Guardian Points, The Gold Points in the Chakras, and the Navel Point. If you haven’t learned the Guardian Points yet or any of the other protocols mentioned, simply acknowledge and invoke “the Guardian energies of the body” and imagine yourself surrounded by golden light. These protocols as a daily practice bring a greater calm and nourish us. They help us navigate this uncharted territory. There are scientific studies showing meditation enhances and supports the immune system. I’ve said it for many years, and I’m saying it again: in today’s world, meditation is not an esoteric practice, it’s a survival skill…

To encourage that, in the next week, starting Wednesday, every couple of days, in the evening (Mountain Time) I’ll be posting a specific audio meditation from the SourcePoint book to help us focus on health in these challenging times. I’ll post an introduction and the link to the meditation. I’m not setting a specific time where we are all meditating together, you’ll have a couple of days to work with one meditation at a time at your own pace.

Also during this time I’ll be bringing in and recording some new meditations to share with you in the following weeks. I’ll also be educating myself in Facebook Live (I’m told it’s very simple) and Zoom (I’m told it’s also very simple) so that those who want to can come together at the same time and share meditation together.

Here’s the sequence of meditations I’ll be posting this week. Please join me for a journey into the Blueprint. I hope that people will find this helpful. I know I need some structure right now in the midst of all the outer chaos. Most of these meditations are between 7-15 minutes.

Day One: Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow

Day Two: The Diamond Points

Day Three: Geometry as the Language of the Blueprint

Day Four: The Internal Scan

Day Five: Invoking the Guardian Energies of the Body (The Golden Egg)

Day Six: Deep Intention

For now, I’ll share a practice i do regularly. I close my eyes and visualize our beautiful earth floating in space. I imagine the the Diamond Points around the globe, in sequence, looking at it, from its right to left: Source, Grounding, Activation, Transformation. A gold line draws itself from point to point, creating that Diamond pattern around the globe. I repeat the words, Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow. I observe the earth and all its inhabitants in that diamond pattern (which is not only applicable to humans). I recognize the inherent Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow of the universal energy of Source manifest as this beautiful planet.

There is a saying of the Buddha’s: “Protecting others, we protect ourselves. Protecting ourselves, we protect others.” May we all practice this. May we support each other in maintaining a focus on health in a world out of balance, while maintaining an awareness and acceptance of the realities we are dealing with.

Bob and I have just returned from teaching Module One and Two in Ireland, and then Module Three in Germany. It’s been a while since I’ve experienced all three in a row. It’s a powerful experience and reminds me more than ever that SourcePoint training is not only about learning techniques; it’s a personal healing journey.

This time, I felt an infinitesimal and yet huge shift in my perspective, my body, my mind: the continuing shift towards health as my context. Of course I have been aware of that principle all along and felt myself changed by it: that in SourcePoint we focus on health, not specific illness, not the story of disease. But this time, something happened. We’ve all had that experience, when what we are told, and repeat, becomes suddenly, deeply real.

I saw, looking back over years and years, my focus on and fascination with my symptoms, how they have defined my reality. I have experienced firsthand what we talk about in SourcePoint: becoming organized around my trauma rather than the inherent health present in my connection to the Blueprint. I am not making a judgment about that. I evidently had to learn to pay attention to what was happening in my body and take care of myself, and to understand the nature and the message of the symptoms. I had to learn to value this precious body. To believe in this body and its inherent health, to shift the emphasis from my story.

What is health? That question comes all the time. I see now it is the very existence of this body, right here, just as it is, with all its imperfections and imbalances. It’s that simple. What is health? It’s life. The incomprehensibly powerful thrust of the universal life force energy into material being is pure wellness; it is Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow, it is the activity of the Blueprint.

Everyone of us has that force within us now. Not some day in the future, maybe, when we get better. It’s there always, when we are sick, when we are tired, when we are depressed, when we are happy, when we are born, and yes, when we are dying.

In this body we are riding a wave of health, of life force manifesting. The more connected we are to our fundamental reality, the blueprint of health, the longer the wave, perhaps. It all depends. On how the forces we experience while in the body, the forces of trauma and karma, and ancestry and environment, to name a few, interact with that force of inherent health. Our choices have a lot to do with our state of health but they are not the only defining factor. Trauma, karma, ancestry, and environment are powerful forces also. The awareness we bring to our experience, the love we give and receive, how we communicate with others, the connection to the greater Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow, so much affects health.

However, the simple fact is, health is a powerful presence in our lives, innately, inherently, undeniably. The more we focus on it, the stronger we get.

And, I can say from personal experience, a simple daily practice of Diamond Points, Guardian Points and Navel Point provides a clear, directed, powerful way to focus on health, to call it forth, to enter into it, to experience it.

(If you haven’t yet experienced SourcePoint training, the Diamond Point Meditation from our book is a way to begin)

The Blueprint and Joy

The Blueprint of health that we work with in SourcePoint contains the information of the highest potential of the human being. It supports, sustains and nurtures life. That is what we call love. The nature of the Blueprint is love.

At SourcePoint trainings we observe people come together in the energy field of the Blueprint. We connect with and explore that field together. And over three days, or five days, or six days, we experience together greater and greater joy — in ourselves, in each other, and in our lives here on this earth. It seems the nature of the Blueprint is also what we call joy.

Order, Balance, Harmony, Flow. Love, joy, abundance, health and peace. Our birthrights. Each of these fundamental qualities is inherent in the universal energy, reflected in our individual being. As it is said in Sanskrit Tat Tvam Asi. That you are. You are That.

And yet, in each of these fundamental qualities lies the seed of its opposite. It’s in the nature of things in this material world. From sorrow arises joy, from joy arises sorrow, and so the waves come and go. From birth arises death, and from death, birth. Winter becomes spring becomes summer. In order there is the seed of chaos, and vice versa. As we incarnate into this world, we experience the arising of the opposite. Coming from balance, from harmony, from flow, we experience imbalance, disharmony, rigidity. We become confused and forget the other. We believe the story of the opposite.

SourcePoint is about remembering and experiencing the story of the original. The natural. The fundamental truth of our existence: Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow. And with that experience arises health, and love, and joy. So many practitioners have told us that clients report experiencing hope after their first SourcePoint session. We just keep hearing this. Hope brings joy.

Connection to our original nature opens doors into hope and possibility, joy and healing.

In relation to this, I’ve been reflecting on the popular words “Follow your bliss.” People seem to think this means finding what makes you happy in the world. But I don’t think it means that at all. I think it means””find in yourself that bliss that is your fundamental nature and then follow that, dwell in that, make your choices from that experience.  It’s not an instruction about how doing what you love makes you happy.  It’s a teaching from ancient sages and mystics about how to disengage your state of well-being from the circumstances of the world. That bliss inherent in the universal energy is different from the happiness that comes from doing what you love. It’s limitless well-being. And living from that brings a joy much deeper than the happiness dependent on circumstance.

That state of consciousness, that limitless well-being, is open to each of us, at every moment. It supports us at every moment.

People tell us frequently that meditating with the Diamond Points regularly puts them in touch with that limitless well-being. People also report that doing the Diamond Points for themselves before moving on to their customary meditation practice helps them to settle into it more smoothly.

It seems that just as SourcePoint supports other healing modalities, it also supports whatever spiritual practice one has undertaken. Of course. The Blueprint contains the information of the highest potential of the human being. And realizing that is what all spiritual practice is about.

I see more and more that SourcePoint is a meditative practice. As we hold the points for another, or for ourselves, as we scan, attentively, carefully, as we connect with the Blueprint through other SourcePoint practices, we enter into a state of meditative Awareness that holds all stories, all opposites, all possibilities, in Awareness. And, it is through that embrace of it all that we come to an experience, however momentary, of that limitless well-being.

None of this is idealistic and abstract. Order, Balance, Harmony, Flow. Bliss. Love. Joy. Peace. Light. Well-being. All these are words for the same experience that is in us, around us, available to us, through whatever of the countless thresholds we choose to cross. Tat Tvam Asi.
