SourcePoint, the Soul’s Journey and the Diamond Points

Source Point Field

Painting by Bob Schrei

From Source we arise, to Source we return. In that process we find ourselves Grounded, here on this earth, incarnate, embodied. We may experience a profound disconnection from Source. We may lose our awareness of it, of our original Ground.  This loss may take lifetimes, and we may live many lifetimes in that state of disconnection, wandering, pulled and driven. At some point the seed of Source within us is Activated, and that consciousness of what we really are begins to wake up. This waking up may take lifetimes. Eventually Transformation happens, and we are realigned with our fundamental nature even as we are incarnate here on this earth.

If you are familiar with the Diamond Points of SourcePoint Therapy you know their names:

Source, Grounding, Activation, Transformation.

In each SourcePoint session, or meditation, we begin with these points. They are located in the field around the body and form either a diamond shape or an oval egg shape, depending on whether you connect them with a straight or curved line. You can see them in the painting above.

Each point has its own intention, its function. The intention of the Source Point, the first point, is to strengthen the connection to Source, the universal energy-consciousness, and particularly to the Blueprint of Health for the human being, a specific energy-information field present in Source.

The intention of the Grounding Point is to ground that information of the Blueprint in the body, to remind the body of its original nature of Order, Balance and Harmony.

The Activation Point activates that information in the body and brings Transformation.

The Transformation is a life lived in greater alignment with that Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow that is our original nature, from which we arise, and to which we return, in moments, over lifetimes. The process is a paradox, because we have never really left.

Every single session, and every moment of meditation with and on that connection, brings us fully, for that session, for that moment, into a greater connection with our full potential, with our creative power. SourcePoint works directly with the vast creative power of Source. Importantly, it gives us a structure, a container, within which we can work with that vast creative power with specific intentions. We can channel that power through the information of Blueprint, to help us develop our full potential.

One can see how the Diamond Points provide a map for the spiritual journey. Let’s use the word use soul. These days I use that word interchangeably with spirit, essence, and awareness. It’s that in us that journeys, that experiences everything, that learns, or gets caught up and spends its time incarnate turning on wheels of thought and feeling. It’s that in us that knows love, and beauty, and truth. It’s that in it that chooses. It’s Source manifest in the individual. It’s that within the individual that longs to return home, forgettting it is  home.

So, manifesting from Source into incarnation we Ground, literally. We incarnate, we find ourselves in bodies. We begin to accumulate stories. We become involved in our stories. We suffer from them, we love them, we find great joy in them. We forget ourselves as we live our stories. Over and over and over.  Our awareness (soul, spirit, essence) begins to identify with the story.

As long as we have a strong connection to nature, we are Grounded in the Blueprint, not only our stories. Nature is the universal Blueprint, manifest into all creation, and if we are living in harmony with the natural forces and the spirit/s of nature (the soul, consciousness, essence of nature) we are not grounded only in our individual stories.

The more we lose that connection, the more separate we become from nature, the more we lose our connection to Source. That separation brings greed, aggression, ignorance, constant forgetting. That separation comes through identifying more on what I need, what I have to have, what my tribe, or nation, or family or self has to have, rather than on the natural Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow.  It’s a cycle.

And then, somehow our soul suddenly begins to remember. To awaken. That light of consciousness within is Activated.  Activation of the memory within awakens us.

Transformation begings to happen. Our awareness (soul, spirit, essence) is a tiny bit awakened. It begins to make different choices. It sees possibilities of what do do with this human life that have been forgotten.

What I experience is that the regular (not regimented, just – steadily arising) practice of the Diamond Points reminds our whole system of its Source, its true Ground, the need to Activate awareness of that connection in order to Transform. It helps me to live a life more in alignment, more connected, more in the rhythm of my fundamental nature, with more awareness. I remember not only the connection to Source, but the midline of the connection between Transformation Point and Grounding Point. Here, now, on this sacred Ground of earth, is where Transformation occurs. Not at some future date in some other dimension when I’ve finally managed to liberate myself from the inconvenience of this body 🙂

Therefore every time I meditate with or receive the Diamond Points I’m not only supporting my physical health and wellbing in the moment, I am acknowledging and supporting my soul (spirit, awareness, essence)   I am acknowledging embodiment as no other than the soul’s journey.  I am activating my awareness. I am entering consciously into Transformation.

The Diamond Points, it turns out, illuminate, enhance, contain and support every single spiritual practice I’ve ever done.

And so, I wanted to share that experience in case others might benefit from it. I’m not saying anything new here, just expressing it in the language of SourcePoint.

May all beings be happy, peaceful and free of suffering.

Gravity as an Ordering Force

By | Published:

gravity

Ida Rolf said, “Gravity is the therapist.” Recently some Structural Integration practitioners have asked about the relationship between SourcePoint Therapy®, the Blueprint, and gravity, so here are some reflections on this topic.

Gravity is a force that defines our orientation in the material world. Structural Integration, with its emphasis its emphasis on gravity, orients people in the world of space, time, physicality, locality and structure, all elements of the material world.

Practitioners know that resistance to change in the physical body can be very strong. You can re-orient the person in gravity, but the ancestral, karmic and other conditioning forces of past experience can pull people right out of orientation again. Connecting directly to the Blueprint information through the Diamond Points helps in keeping the client oriented and shifting deep resistance.

Structural Integration and SourcePoint Therapy are a powerful combination. When the forces of the material world are in harmony, they reflect the natural Order of the Blueprint. “As above, so below.” The Blueprint is an ordering force. Gravity is an ordering force at this level of reality. Both Sourcepoint and Structural Integration seek to align with ordering forces.

In today’s world it’s easy to get stuck in the world of gravity, physicality, locality, gravity, and time, to think that’s all there is. Then you lose the connection to the world of non-physicality, non-locality, non-gravity, beyond time and space. For example, shamanic journeying assumes a realm with different characteristics than the material, not defined by gravity, time and locality. The Blueprint dimension is not limited by time, space, distance, or any of the defining characteristics of the material world. When the focus of healing work is only on gravity, physicality and locality, there is the danger of losing sight of the dimension of non-physicality and non-locality. Then you are cut off from the information that is available from that realm. It’s possible to become more of a mechanic. The Newtonian universe (with its emphasis on gravity) is often described as a mechanistic universe. The reverse is also true; many energy work practitioners get removed from this world of gravity, density, and matter. Ida Rolf was tuned into the non-duality of the energetic and material realms, and the relationship between them in terms of producing healing at the material level. This is very clear from her writings, her research, and her lectures.

I close with an excerpt from an earlier post, Ida Rolf: Structure and Spirit. In her book Rolfing and Physical Reality Dr. Rolf speaks about how you can’t, as a human being, ignore the force of gravity, or the fact that you are a physical body and not spirit only:

“Well, a spirit is in charge of the situation, but not in the way many people think. The spirit is in charge to tell the individual that he can so organize his body that he is now in line with a supporting force.”

SourcePoint Therapy is a system of energy medicine, but we know you have to take the material world and its forces into account. Change isn’t going to occur at a “spirit” level alone. But there is “spirit” and, according to Dr. Rolf, it tells the individual how to organize his (or her) body. In other words, spirit contains the information of a greater Order. This is really the perspective of SourcePoint Therapy. When we connect with the information of the Blueprint we are connecting with the information of Order, Balance, Harmony, and Flow that re-organizes the body so it is in alignment with that Blueprint and therefore in better alignment with the forces of the physical world such as gravity. If we make a division between energy and matter, spirit and body, we are in trouble. If we forget spirit, we aren’t going to be as effective as in our practitioners. If we ignore the realities of the physical body and material world, we aren’t going to be as effective as practitioners.

You Are Energy

You are energy. You can’t have energy or not have enough energy because it’s not about having or not having. You are energy. For the rest of this month, we’ll be exploring this fact. Every talk/meditation is intended to help you realize that, at every level of body/mind/ spirit. I chose the image above because it represents the stillness from which movement arises. There is energy in the stillness of the bell, energy in the striking of it, and in the resonant sound that arises. Every moment, every thing, every breath, is filled with energy. In listening, in stillness, we enter into an awareness of pure energy that nourishes and sustains us when we emerge into movement and activity.

I recorded this outside, and you’ll hear the ravens and other birds participating, an occasional rustle of paper, and the echo of the wind that was non-stop in New Mexico for all of March, April and May. It’s all energy. Enjoy, and please feel free to share questions, insights, experiences through comments on this post. And for further experience, please see my book The Vibrant Life: Simple Meditations to Use Your Energy Effectively, Sentient Publications 2006.
