SourcePoint Therapy® and Awareness Practice

awake
in the deep night
lost in the breath
enfolded in pure darkness
nestled at the heart
of the great mother Awareness
the sense beyond sense
feels her embrace
the ear beyond the ear
hears her hum
the song of creation
whispers in the breath
always
(from not poems: moments of Awareness, p.7)
What is Awareness? Awareness is simply that in us which sees, senses, perceives, responds, hears, touches, feels, smells, tastes. It is that in us that has the capacity for choice, that ultimately can determine how we react to outer circumstance or inward thoughts triggered by outer circumstance. Awareness is our precious birthright as a human being. It is that in us that can experience and treasure the life we have been given and accompany us always through this life. Step by step, breath by breath, we become aware of Awareness. As we become aware of Awareness, we begin to experience the presence of that greater Awareness that is no other than our own individual awareness. We become aware of the sentient network of being we belong to, inevitably and inextricably.
In a complex world, simplicity has great power.
There are many spiritual traditions that in one way or another seek to provide a path to greater Awareness. Once again, as always, SourcePoint Therapy is not here to replace those traditions, but to support whatever practice one might have in seeking expanded Awareness, expanded Connection – to that network of being, to the ground of our being, to Source.
What we have come to realize is quite simple – if people continue in their study and practice of SourcePoint, working with the protocols, working with the principle we call “Getting Out of the Way,” practicing for themselves, a natural shift in Awareness begins to happen. Every time one practices with another person in a session, every time one practices for oneself, one is focused on the specific field of consciousness, energy and healing information we call the Blueprint. This does bring transformation, as many have experienced.
In other words, SourcePoint Therapy and greater Awareness are inextricably intertwined, not two. This post isn’t really about SourcePoint Therapy and Awareness Practice. SourcePoint Therapy is Awareness Practice. A practice that reveals us to ourselves, helps us to connect with our fundamental nature, helps to bring healing to ourselves and others, shifts our understanding of who we are, helps us to experience, honor and acknowledge the vast network of being that we call Source. At the very least, a practice that has the potential to do all of that, if we practice.
Awareness practice in today’s world is not an esoteric practice, it’s a survival skill. Awareness practice is a path open to anyone, any time. The simple practices of SourcePoint can provide a gateway or a support to more established meditation practices and traditions. Or you can discover how far it can take you for yourself.
The message I’ve been given over and over is, human beings have to shift consciousness quickly these days. Time is running short. We have to remember our connection to each other, the world we live in and the universal rhythms and patterns we have separated ourselves from. We have to hear that whisper of the song of creation in our breath, feel it in our bodies, and live in harmony with it. So every little moment counts. Every tiny experience of Awareness of this network of being we belong to becomes a drop in a huge wave of needed shift.
The image above is from a ceremony on the Ganges River, where people light candles, place them in little boats, and offer them to the Great Consciousness, to the light rays of wisdom and love, to the Goddess, to the Creator, to the Source of our being. Our “own” experience of “our” awareness is absorbed into the universal, into Source. In SourcePoint Therapy we offer a little boat, a vehicle that can carry a little flame out into the world, hopefully bringing healing: Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow.
There is joy to be experienced on this path of Awareness, and I invite you to an online workshop on July 20th, a three-hour gathering to explore SourcePoint Therapy as Awareness Practice. (See website training page) I am finding certain specific SourcePoint protocols particularly important for self-practice as we navigate this world these days: The Diamond Points, The Midline, the Stick Figure, and the Crescent Moon. Module Two of SourcePoint Therapy is required to attend this workshop.
May all beings be happy, peaceful and free of suffering.
