SourcePoint Therapy: The Third Point

The Third Point © Bob Schrei
The more we practice SourcePoint for ourselves, the more we experience directly the power of connecting to the protocols, and the power of the energetic structure of the protocols to heal and transform and maintain our connection to our innate health.
As we practice it for others we begin to see how precisely the process of a SourcePoint Therapy session reflects a map for daily life. These steps I’m about to list are not only guidelines for a SourcePoint session; they can also help us navigate our day, in situations we encounter, in our inner and outer world
We begin with the recognition and affirmation of our fundamental nature, with the Diamond Points, connecting with the Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow of Source, of the creative vital life force energy, the ordering forces of creation. Source, Grounding, Activation, Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow. These words, practiced with as mantra, define our intention and understanding of the journey of transformation we embark on every morning, that provide the foundation for any healing practice we may do for others.
Then, the Entry Point, locating through scanning the body to find the most effective and somatic entrance into its field. Asking the body’s permission to communicate with it, its patterns of flow and blockage, its history. This principle can help us a lot in many daily life situations, in difficult situations and communications with others, when there are dysfunctional and opposing patterns and blockages that require transformation. In difficult situations we can step back, take a breath and ask ourselves-where is the most appropriate entry point to help this situation (or communication) resolve?
Maintaining the principle of getting out of the way throughout our day, stepping back, shifting our awareness to the Blueprint of Health, strengthening that connection, feeling the presence of that Order, Balance, Harmony, Flow, this transforms our everyday experience of interactions, our projections, our hopes and fears, our illness, the turning wheel of our mind. Getting out of the way is crucial in energy work of all kinds, and we emphasize it in SourcePoint. There is an Awareness in each of us that is capable of clearing itself, viewing a situation from the ground of Order, Balance, Harmony and Flow, seeing from a different perspective.
The Eight-Pointed Star, the Crescent Moon, the Diamond Points, the Navel Point, the Golden Rectangle Points, the Midline, the Gold Points in the Chakras, the Sacral Diamond, the Golden Egg, the Stick Figure, the Guardian Points: these are all energetic structures, mandalas, patterns we can connect with to ground ourselves in that vast network of being that we are a part of. And we do this by simply becoming aware that we can shift our Awareness from our old habit patterns and reactions to any one or any number of these protocols and begin the process of transforming our reactions and interaction.
We become aware of our Awareness.
This Awareness is aware of polarity. It does not reject or deny or see the polarities of everyday life as opposing forces, rather as a continuous flow of information that gets bottled up in reaction, projection, rigid habits. It is aware that it can return to its original ground. It is aware of the breath, the inhalation and exhalation, the fundamental rhythm of life. It illuminates and guides.
We can turn to the Guardian Points, throughout our day, in our sessions, to connect with these vital and palpable energies present in our field, to guide us and refresh and replenish our energies, and that of those we work with. The Guardian Points also strengthen that connection to the Blueprint we come to rely on, for guidance, for guardianship.
In the continuous awareness of our capacity for choice, our capacity to shift our awareness from one dimension to another, we begin to be aware of transformation happening, within us and in our relationship to the “outer” world.
With that awareness comes the awareness of patience, what it is, what it means. We see we don’t just transform overnight, in a blinding flash of illumination, in a blissful wave of joy. These experiences may come but ultimately transformation is a moment-to-moment choice, a shifting of our awareness from ancient, deeply imprinted habit patterns, views, and actions, to – a wider, deeper, healthier energy and perspective. It’s a path of expansion and contraction, and ultimately, perhaps, we end up in what the Buddha called the Middle Way.
The Third Point: The Awareness that holds the polarities, the multiplicities, the wholeness of who we are. We cease dividing ourselves into little bits and pieces, some of which we like, and some of which we don’t. The Third Point: The Blueprint of Health that is the very ground of who we are. We end up with an ever-expanding understanding and view of who we are, and of our connection to that ground of being.
Our day, and/or our session closes with the honoring of our fundamental nature, our innate health, the creative life force energy within us, radiating vibrant health. Source, Grounding, Activation, Transformation. Order, Balance, Harmony, Flow. Words that can awaken energy and ground us in the Blueprint, session to session, day to day, breath by breath.
In ancient times healers were admonished: “Physician, Heal Thyself.” If you want to practice energy work, if you want to understand the nature of the universal energy, if you want healing for yourself and others, if you want to work with that universal energy, you have to start with yourself. It’s a lifetime of steady work, of expanding awareness and dedication to self-transformation and the service of others.
Many people wanting to bring healing to others acquire many modalities. That’s great. Practitioners talk about wanting many tools for “their toolbox.” That’s fine too.
More and more practitioners discover that SourcePoint Therapy is the toolbox, not another tool.
